Remember the Women Institute partner for our Women, Theater, and the Holocaust

Jennifer Apple and David Schechter will be part of the program, doing a reading from the wonderful Hannah Senesh play that Folksbiene brought to off-Broadway. And Dr. Meghan Brodie’s theater students will be presenting excerpts from Goldie Morgentaler’s new book Letters from the Afterlife, correspondence between her mother Chava Rosenfarb and her childhood friend living in Sweden. The other two 15-minute readings are premieres of short plays, Pour Out Your Blessings by Jessica Feder-Birnbaum and a yet unnamed play by Cynthia Cooper about an artist survivor in Mexico. The readings are followed by a Q & A with directors and/or playwrights, and then a reception.
