New York Public Library - Lincoln Center

The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center and Burke Cohen Entertainment present a reading of Jeff Cohen’s play The Soap Myth, featuring seven-time Emmy winner Ed Asner in the role of Holocaust survivor Milton Saltzman. The reading, directed by Pam Berlin

The Soap Myth takes place more than a half century after the end of WWII, when at the desperate urging of a passionate Holocaust survivor a young investigative reporter finds herself caught between numerous versions of the same story. The Soap Myth questions who has the right to record history - those who have lived it and remember, those who study and protect it, or those who would seek to distort and desecrate its very existence.
